To simplify hardware configurations and minimise spares holdings suppliers of machine protection systems strive towards offering a single hardware platform for all measurements such as vibration, expansion, speed and temperature. However, only Sensonics can offer a true single platform for all these measurements without restrictions. It is typical for other manufacturers of such equipment to offer variants for different sensor inputs and particularly if the parameters being monitored are LVDT expansion, temperature or process (4-20mA).
The Sentry G3 module offers a single hardware platform for all these measurements. A G3 module offers 4 channels of dynamic measurements such as vibration, pressure and speed. With the capability of monitoring up to 8 channels of temperature. Due to the universal nature of the module any of the four channels can be programmed to any measurement providing complete flexibility in a single module.
