Machine Protection - What Do You Mean No Additional Plug In Modules Are Required?
Most machinery protection systems on the market require the user to identify a range of modules to fulfil a fairly standard machine protection requirement.
Typical plug in modules are required to configure the system, add alarm relay interfaces, include analogue outputs for the DCS, provide a communication interface, etc…….. but not with Sentry G3.
The best way to consider the Sentry G3 concept is to look at all the features that are available in a typical machine protection rack fitted with all the various plug on card options……. Sentry G3 compresses all these functions into a single module.
1No set up card required…….. the module is configured directly via a USB interface.- No communication card is required……. the module has direct dual redundant modbus connections.
- No alarm relay card is required……. the module has built in alarm relays with programmable logic.
- No analogue output card is required…….the module offers two analogue outputs per channel, each can be configured for either current or voltage.
- No rear of rack transducer interface cards required…… program the Sentry G3 module exactly to the sensor interface requirements.
- No additional display module is required…… Sentry G3 has its own inbuilt intuitive display.
